Objectives and scope

Slippurinn's resources lie in the company's employees, their knowledge and extensive experience. It is therefore Slippurinn's goal to recruit, retain and develop qualified employees by all available means. Slippurinn places great emphasis on having qualified and motivated employees with extensive experience and knowledge working for the company. Slippurinn requires its employees to have a minimum level of proficiency and be able to communicate in Icelandic. All employees of the company represent the company externally towards customers and partners and must always be a credit to the company. Employees must be responsible in their work and show initiative for the company's development.


Working environment

Emphasis is placed on a good and positive work ethic in the company and on employees showing respect and a positive attitude towards each other.


Equality and communication

When recruiting, we strive to ensure gender, race and religious equality, see Slipp's equality plan. We always try to meet the needs of employees due to their family responsibilities. When recruiting, the most qualified person is always hired. The utmost respect is always maintained in relations between employees and management, whether in formal employee interviews or informal communications between employees.


Career development – continuing education

Slippurinn provides employees with opportunities for professional development, as well as continuing and continuing education. Continuing and continuing education is reviewed in employee interviews that take place once a year. It is equally the responsibility of the employee and their supervisor to implement the education and training of each employee.


Welcoming new employees

The reception of new employees should be purposeful and the goal is to make the new employee feel comfortable from the start. The reception should be in accordance with the company's procedures. A new employee should be "nurtured" by an older employee until he has entered the daily life of the company. On the first day, a new employee receives useful information about his role and responsibilities.


Health promotion

Slippnum cares about the health of its employees, better well-being gives the company a more positive and better workforce. Flu vaccination is offered annually.


Clothing policy

Employees must always comply with all safety regulations and safety requirements for clothing and personal protective equipment. Safety equipment other than that used daily must always be available when an employee needs it.
